The aggregate net assets of Luxembourg-domiciled regulated investment funds – Ucits and Part II funds, Sifs and Sicars – increased by 0.32% (€19.5bn) in December to €6.199trn, an increase over 12 months of 6.5% and of 22.8% since December 2020, according to the CSSF. Net inflows of €30bn more than offset a €10.6bn decline in the market value of funds’ existing assets. Luxembourg funds collectively enjoyed €244 billion in inflows last year after three years of net redemptions. The grand duchy was home to 3,036 legally distinct fund entities at the end of December, nine fewer than a month earlier, including 2,034 with an umbrella structure containing 12,317 aggregate sub-funds; the number of active fund portfolios decreased from 13,353 to 13,319.
